Berna Layout Take 2

So, I was really happy with the design of my layout using Berna's products, but I wasn't happy with the size.....again..lol. I also just threw together the header so there was something up there when she viewed the layout.

I have re-done the header, and re-sized the layout and now I am done.

Hopefully I will get the 'eyeing' of element size on these layouts quickly so I don't have to keep doing 2 and 3 tries for it to look right on the blog. But, it isn't so bad and I am finding it to be somewhat fun going through the stages.

However, it would be nice to just get it right the first time eventually..lol.

Hope you like it. Previews of the layout are below(the tabs under the flowers are left blank for you to write something on, if you choose to use this blog layout. The header of course, doesn't come with my blog title eitehr..lol).

Thanks,
Dawn

New Blog Layout

In my practicing, I have made a layout with some products from a designer that I am on her creative team.

Everything except the bandana alphabet is from Berna Datema Designs. Her designs can be found at Scrapbook Graphics. The alphabet is by Marie at www.freedigitialscrapbooking.com.

Here is a jpg pic of the layout created today.

I GOT IT!!!

Well, it took a bit of sizing for the elements to fit on the page properly. But, it only took 2 tries after the original. I am pretty happy with this one. I can only imagine where I might be a year from now with this kind of creativity.

Here is a jpg image of my first blog layout.

Thanks,

First Blog Layout!!!

You know you are inspired when......you decide to start playing in something new, and get your first one done within a few hours.

I still have to do some tweaking to make sure my element sizes are the right size so they don't go off the page like this one is. But, here it is.

The majority of this blog layout is using a digital scrapbook kit contribution I made a few years ago. I have nicknamed my portion of it Padre (Father in spanish) because of the colours. The doodley yellow part is something I contributed to another collab kit for ScrappinFreestyle's signature kit, and the half flower, lined paper and staples came from that same kit, just recoloured. The cardboard piece is my own commercial use product.

I haven't created scrapbooking products for a long time now, but I am going to try and use kits that I have made or own as a contributing designer. I am also hoping that I will be able to contact a few designers, and see if I can use kits I have of theirs, to do this with also.

If you happen across this blog, before I start linking it in my signatures and friends, please give feedback. I am totally open to pointers of any kind...especially from people who may have been making these for a while.

Thanks,
Dawn

Playing with a new way to be creative

I have been having so much fun surfing around and finding such beautiful blog layouts, that I am going to start playing with making them too.

Right now, this blog is not using my own creations as you can see. I will from time to time still use 1 or 2 of my fave blog layout creator's stuff just because it is so beautiful. Inspiration!!!! lol.

Each time I change my layout I will post a quick message and state if it is from me, or from another blog layout creator.

The main page of the blog will showcase layouts, but I will create a separate page for where to find them to get use of ones you like.

I am looking forward to playing around with this.

Thanks!
Dawn
